A NATIONAL bakers has made a big splash with a borough sports club.

Thurrock Swimming Club will be sponsored by Warburtons which has donated towards team kit for each member of the National Junior Speedo Final Squad.

The club has been running for 34 years and has more than 400 members from the local community.

Hazel Day, Sponsorship Co-ordinator for the club said: "We always try to make sure that the children feel part of a team, even when they're competing solo.

"Receiving this kit from Warburtons ensures that everyone can tell who we are and the swimmers are extremely proud to wear it when they're cheering on their team mates."

Adrian Doran, General Manager at Warburtons Enfield Bakery, says: "Warburtons is delighted to make such a worthwhile contribution to the Thurrock Swimming Club.

"Maintaining healthy, active lifestyles is very important to Warburtons so it's wonderful that we are able to support groups such as this in the areas that we serve."
